No! it does not. There are several things going on here but there is
definitely a problem beyond Compiz.
From a fresh install of Feisty last night, and then applying all updates

2) Nothing happens until download or unconfiguration of driver starts
3) User clicks 'enable' again
4) A second window asking if to proceed appears, so two or more enable/disable
actions are running parallel
I find this behavior to be unintuitive
Here's mine in 3 states: normal (before update), yesterday (after
update), today (after cleaning it out)

The corruption is due to the gnome-panel code, not to the computer.
That's a known bug, that's not easy to get a debug log for it though

Firefox crash report.
I should mention that, on the Beta Live CD that I installed from,
Firefox, Openoffice etc. are working. So it would seem that the updates

I was testing Feisty beta and I discovered that eAccelerator was not reliable
running under PHP 5.2.1. Eventually I located an existing bug report with the
eAccelerator tracker that resolved my problem completely.
