I didn't install the language packages, because that did the upgrade process
for me. After I upgraded to feisty, there update manager wasn't localized, so

Itried the workaround of Martijn (which I found on another page). It didn't
work for me.
I made a file hdd-shutdown-workaround in /etc/init.d with the following two
lines:

(only had to change "scsi_disk" for "scsi_device")

interface. After a suspend/resume cycle, they are reset to some slowish

I confirm this bug on amd64 arch. I'm fairly convinced it's not a Kernel
lock-up, as if I'm playing music, that continues to run. But it's true,

2.6.20-14-powerpc in a Apple Wallsteet Powerbook.
Adding "reserve=0xfd00,0xff" didn't seem to change anything.

correctly identified as Master and Slave while on Feisty, both are
identified as SCSI and as master drives, not sure if this affects

I was using the nvidia-glx on my laptop with a GeForce4 420 Go 64M and

The left time scale is to near on the left border, I can not read the
hours. I don't know if this problem only exist in the german-locale.
I will attach a picture with the problem.

Well I did some more testing. I tried with bundled compiz with/without compiz
themes and also with Beryl (Emerald themes). Resume from suspend provides a
black screen. It seems background working.
Hibernate did not work too : desktop unloaded and then again, black screen
without any power down.
