When I speak of the console, I don't mean the xterm or konsole or
gnome-terminal X application, neither about the recovery mode, but the
tty terminal consoles avaible through ctrl+alt+F# keys.
Try hitting ctrl+alt+F1, it will send you to a console, where I never
seen the keyboard bug. ctrl+alt
Patch works for me.

after i started gnome-volume-manager manually it survived one
suspend/resume cycle. automatically mounting worked and i was able to
read and write. however unmounting did not work (complained about not
being root and not listed in fstab). "sudo umount" worked then as
expected.

can you guys try commenting out eth0 from /etc/network/interfaces on my
system I get the lockup if I bring up whilel eth0 is already up, if I
down eth0 and bring up ra0 it does not crash.

I've sent those comments upstream on
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=439208, do you have an easy
way to trigger the crash? It doesn't happen when there is no dbus-daemon
started by the user
