- right click on the nm-applet icon
- selection Connection Information
- close the window _not_ using the Close button, but for example the window
manager's right-corner-cross (or whatever you have)
- repeat the first two steps
I merged the new upstream version and requested an upload in bug

Peter's patch as soon as the merge has gone through.

'update-pciids' has been done to avoid having to build a new pciutils
package every day (as new IDs are added quite every day)
Next time a bug is fixed or a functionnality is added, pciutils would
certainly ship a newer pci.ids (or better, ship none, just launching
Paste in the context menu of gcalctool generally works for me in Feisty.
But, more to the point: the suggestion has been rejected upstream and we
do not plan to change it to differ from their version, causing more
future maintenance. Closing.

As of Feisty updated to kernel 2.6.20-16.28 and in Gusty Tribe 1 (kernel
2.6.22-6.5) this problem no longer occurs. My thanks to whoever fixed

understand the specific change from that patch. The version in the
repositories built cleanly for me, but I didn't try applying the patch.

The upstream maintainer feels that this is the correct behavior,
