I tried the free vm, the embedded browser works but embedded jetty doesn't play
well with gcj and stoped working .
firefox_2.0.0.4+1 (festy) works but firefox_2.0.0.4+2(gutsy) doesn't work.
Anyway a workaround with mozilla embedded browser support is to install
xulrunner package then start

I'm rejecting the bug on xorg-server: this is caused by the binary nvidia
driver. If I use nv in xorg.conf, switching between consoles works as

Apparently, either using your method (syncing and stopping the drive),
or doing what I did (unmounting-remounting-unmounting) causes the drive
to be properly sync'd, whereas just unmounting or syncing and unmounting
does not.
In any case, there seems to be a bug in the driver where this
ia32-libs (1.19ubuntu2) gutsy; urgency=low
* sources.list.deb: Add universe, switch to gutsy now that the gnutls13
binaries are current.
* Merge ia32-libs-gtk, now that this package is in universe:
- Add debian/{gdk-pixbuf.loaders.32,gtk.immodules.32,pango.modules} and
install

i want to correct my description of this bug just in case of interest:
the laptop which has this bug, was upgraded from dapper to edgy to feisty since
i found
converted during upgrade to edgy in fstab...but nothing else
suspicious (compared to the desktop machines fstab)

Public bug reported:
Drag an OpenOffice file (I've tried it with an .odt file) into the CD/DVD
Creator. Then double-click it there.
OpenOffice starts up, but then shows a message General Internet error has
occurred and doesn't open the file.

I'm arguing that octave should be in the menu because it has a graphical
component. Additionally, I'm questioning why is it hard to make an
entry for it? Observe in our lcsee-octave package, we pretty easily
created a menu entry.
