Sorry. I got two bugs mixed up. Never mind my last comment.
I'm sure the issue was with the Ubuntu patchset and not the vanilla
kernel sources.
If the above patch still applies properly the problem persists. If you
look at the patch it was a minor mistaken of putting an if statement too
late.

I was able to successfully cross-flash my System76 Darter Ultra (and
