Correction - the asynchronous setting on the SCSI adapter isn't what
fixes the problem - it's the Disconnect turned to OFF. Here are the

This has not been resolved, as it still exists in Feisty (I'm soaking in
it) and upstream (according to comments by others). It makes gparted
unusable for anything that requires unmounting drives unless you know to
kill gnome-volume-manager.
