However in this release I notice a lot of redraw/refreshing problems, to
reproduce open the Assistant, scroll down any page (all ok) and then scroll up

Reinstalling mysql 5.0 has solved the problem. After that the mythtv
packets install behaved and I can log into mysql with user root and
without password. Just as a suggestion, maybe the password could be
prompted if the login to mysql doesn't work without a password.

Problem solved. I checked the BIOS and found the setting AGP Aperture
Size which was set to 256 MB. Manually setting the undocumented
GARTSize parameter to match this (256) causes DRI to initalize
correctly!
All error messages are gone, except for the mtrr: no MTRR for

I have a 11,8 MB PDF file which doesn't print at all from Evince (Ubuntu 7.04).

on my Desktop PC with a wireless PCI NIC adaptor running on the ACX111
chipset VPN Connections are not established if my network is setup
manually, syslog tells me it cannot find an adaptor.
I will post my syslog entry tomorrow when
I've built the package from debian unstable on amd64 with gnome,
installed then tested the common features. I had no issue signing in,
streaming music or accessing other standard features.

As a general rule, you are correct, but devscripts has a lot of scripts
with potential dependencies. If all required packages for all scripts
were installed, as an example, emacs would be required. It just isn't
reasonable/feasible for devscripts.

I got a kernel panic when using dhclient on a certain wifi network.
I use the amd64 version of Gutsy with an Atheros AR5005G wifi card.
The router (and dhcp server) on the network causing the kernel panic
seems to be called Broadband Router in its configuration file.

update-manager -c -d. Other than a few of these minor regressions it
works really well and the anti-aliased fonts in Emacs is just

Its probably not the correct way to go about it but I made the script
/etc/initramfs-tools/scripts/init-top/load_ide_core
it just simply does a modprobe ide_core
It now boots okay.
It don't fully understand the boot process. If working correctly should the
ide be auto-detected?
