Allright, I did suspect the session thing (though I didn't find strigi in the
KDE service manager), but for some strange
reason, trackerd gets loaded on my kde sessions... could be when I launch a
gnome app as I have evolution auto
loaded, or could have been from saving a session where it was
Gnome-control-center is just nice for newbe and a newbe don't now how
edit the menu and don't know they are a gnome-control-center... So what
don't activate it by default? The System menu is anyway a better place
that preferance for click and visual clarity.

Note that without external monitor this problem cannot really be tested,
because the whole task was to extend the desktop to a second screen
(using displayconfig-gtk).

It’s a problem when you used an other repository source for compiz. If
you would like to use compiz, you need a clean install af compiz
packages from gutsy.
1/ You need to remove external source list.
2/ Update package list
3/ Remove all older compiz package
4/ Remove the folder ~/.config/compiz/

Thanks for your patch. I don't really see the point why to introduce
Debian-delta just for little cosmetic changes like these. Please send a
patch to the Debian maintainer.

I patched mac80211-10.0.0 to not throw those messages. Don't know if
that can be regarded as a fix, but I would conclude that this is not a
bug of network-manager.

I have a problem like this after modify some settings in CompizConfig
Settings Manager (trying to enable cube).
The workspace applet show 4 workspace and when I clicked on it, I saw
only my wallpaper. No, icons on the desktop, no panels, ...
So, I should be go to tty1, and type killall

I have this ipw3945 problem only with a Vigor 2500 WLAN Router. Other
WLAN-routers are working. vista too. update of the routers firmware,
restart, reconfigure didn't help.
