Fallback icon theme is not installed which causes icons to disappear
NoOp, AppArmor is installed by default as a new security concept for
CUPS, replacing the old, ugly patches making CUPS running as a non-root

My suggestion for a workaround in Gutsy is the following:
1. DO NOT add foomatic-db-gutenprint
2. DO NOT patch KDE Printing Manager
3. Instead, add system-config-printer and hal-cups-utils
4. Modify menu entries that users use preferably system-config-printer and not
KDE Printing Manager
5.
i can NOT confirm the behavior on my gutsy install with nvidia-glx and
1280x800 resolution.
i installed via synaptics and then created a new account via the wizard
which led me to the registration website.
p.s. if you hold the alt key you can move the window with your mouse.

The algorithms for manual installation with systemconfig-printer and
automatic setup with hal-cups-utils are not 100% the same. Does it work
