I also found that the problem appears only in Animated pooldown (I
can't check now how this feature is called exactly) is switched OFF!
So with Animated Pooldown ON tilda works fine. It shows this GTK errors on
console but it works (you can hide it and show again).

If I only list Modes [EMAIL PROTECTED] in my xorg.conf, I get the same
results. gdm is at 1280x768 @ 60 and when I login it switches to
[EMAIL PROTECTED] I am attaching the xorg.conf that I used and my
Xorg.0.log. Thanks.

Peter, now that the 7.10 Gutsy Gibbon release of Ubuntu is out, we
were wondering if you can still reproduce this issue.
I haven't tried, since I'm still using the latest git mesa and drm
(kernel and userspace).
Next time I'm planning to reboot anyway, I'll try to remember to switch
back to

Scratch my above statement. All was fine for about a day. I logged in
today (still w/ animations plugin disabled) and my display froze up as
described in this ticket (mouse worked but I couldn't click
anythingkeyboard was unresponsive) shortly after I started working.
