I told amarok to do a full scan of my collection, and that seems to have fixed

I had the same problem with my LG P1 laptop after upgrading to Gutsy.
Reverting the kernel 2.6.22 to 2.6.20-16 of Feisty works well and there is no
problem any more.
Unloading the et131x module on 2.6.22 works fine as well but it's very annoying

After a Feisty-Gusty upgrade I have a similar problem with an IBM X41
tablet.
The suspend-to-disk operation seems to take fairly long, but eventually
finishes. On resume the boot procedure reaches the Ubuntu splash screen
and then stalls indefinitely. Using the suspend key or echo disk
Swap is on on my system and the problem still occurs.
I have been travelling and have not been able to have the time to do
the debugging steps (having only one computer with me) but I will do
so as soon as possible once I return (next week)...

I too have a Fujitsu Scenic with integrated Intel graphics, and I have a
similar problem with the release version of 7.10. It was a clean install
of the OS, not an upgrade or dual boot.
The symptoms are; From power up, the Ubuntu splash screen and progress

It is even more serious as with xrandr, gnome-panel will adjust its size to the
smallest output resolution.

It is indirectly related to direct rendering being available: when
you're using Xgl, clients under Xgl don't get direct rendering.
On your GeForce 6200 you're not using Xgl, so you obviously don't see
this Xgl bug.

toshiba p100 series dsdt acpi error no sound, works with acpi turned off.
I confirm this behavior on ATI Technologies Inc Radeon IGP 345M, feisty
worked correctly but gutsy not (shakes pixel left to right).
