upgrade? Several Gutsy users (myself included) don't have their mdadm
arrays assembled on boot, like this, just 100% of the time. If you were

I'm having similar issues but my remedy is slightly different.
My RAID1 isn't critical (yet) to the system so when things are booted up I just
click an icon and this runs:
modprobe md
mdadm --assemble --scan
mount -a
It's not elegant and it needs root privs and while things are like this,
1/2: Drivers: I can agree on that: that is not easy and has different
roots, its mainly that suppliers must be convinced to cooperate: some
already do provide linux drivers, which is good!

I'm also having problems joining Ubuntu Gutsy BDC to our existing PDC.
We also tried to setup a Gutsy PDC but windows client are unable to
join. The machine accounts are added to the LDAP server but it fails to
join the domain.

Mine Gutsy i386 on AMD Turion MT-34 and ATI Radeon Mobility X700 is
freezing too - up to 50 times per day... I have tried various fglrx
drivers, Compiz, xserver-xgl... I have disabled all the extensions in
FireFox. Finally, it get a little better when disabling fglrx drivers
and using Radeon
Problem confirmed as well on my HP dv2000z laptop with Ubuntu 7.10 final
and HardInfo 0.4.2.1.svn30042007. AMD TurionX2 TL-52. Program closes

So if I follow you, my system keeps starting processes 2 or 3 hours

I run both firefox 32 and 64 bit. This only happens with the 32 bit
version (used to get flash, java etc. working).

I have got the same problem on my gutsy server install.
I have tried the patches the previous post described:
- disabling of hwclock in the /etc/rc0.d and in the rc6.d directories by
removing the links.
- stripping the execution permission on the /lib/udev/set_hwclock file by
chmod...
