It is the lack of a valid DNS that causes NTP to fail

Kubuntu 7.10, ATI Radeon 9550 with driver 8.40.4. Desktop effects are
not enabled. "Change user" hangs the X server: only alt+sysreq+ r, s, e,
i, u, b are still available.

Up tp date Ubuntu Gutsy (final) on IA-32 (T2400) still has the same problem.
You have to manually load the module first, then you can run the microcode.ctl
tool.
The dmesg doesn't show any error message, though.

Does it happen with another OS like Windows or another distribution too? Maybe
you have an hardware issue.
Most IDE-Adapters are recognized as sdX because of a new driver. This shouldn't
be the problem. But maybe the new ata driver makes problems on your board so
please recheck it with another O

There is mentioned source for the Nautilus scipts in the help chapter
6.13.1, but it is not mentioned how and where to get Nautilus extensions
in the chapter 6.13.2. This is confusing as the Google gives mostly
result from the Gnome help without pointing to the fact that one

The lack of openhackware package is specific to Ubuntu, because this
package is in Debian.
After installing openhackware from Debian, I downloaded the video.x with

Binary package hint: nautilus
Steps: Open home folder icon.
App loads up but sits and spins, not displaying anything. Previous
attempts worked fine, no changes to contents of folder. A restart will
often clear the problem up. Contents are still viewable in terminal.
