Oddly enough, windows didn't seem to notice the strewn file/dir names. I
ran an error detection/fix from windows' properties tools tab of the
device. I'm not sure whether it was windows itself, or the error
detection run, but the filenames were cleaned up. The strewn stuff was

debug procedure but nothing actually crashes so the dbg report shows nothing
special. The exchange plugin simply stops working and folder contents is no
longer displayed or updated.

I am on i386.

problems causing the same symptom (slow log in). One was the hosts
file that vampire666 mentioned. It was fixed by adding you machine

I found the long cat-5 cable and plugged in. Maybe I wasn't patient enough,
but the interface
didn't come up on its own. It was suitably checked, and DHCP was selected. I
can bring it
up with sudo ifconfig eth0 down followed by ...up , but I also have to bring
the wireless down
with ifconfig
Don't have any trouble with network at the moment (on a fully uptodate
gutsy), so i guess this is fixed or just disappeared ;)

command line. Despite being a landscape PDF, it prints in portrait and
is truncated.
