In response to my own input above: Pidgin, GIMP and other windows *do*
keep descending, just like Victor and Chris had originally reported for
Nautilus. Plus, the windows seem to move to the right by the width of
the decoration border, too; this should be a good clue to the

Thanks for the reply. Am closing this bug as invalid, as it seems to be
misunderstanding of the feature.But, are you meaning the time display at
the bottom of Totem player where is says something like Playing:
0:00/10:00? The first time is the current time (time for which the file
has been played)

I can confirm this. ndiswrapper crashes the kernel using the r8180
driver for it.

Ummm... that might not be the only issue here. My situation has
improved a little since I went through the mind-numbing pain of getting
the ATI driver running correctly in Kubuntu. Not really as intuitive as
one might think... :-/
However, even though my monitor doesn't cut the panel off
