In kpowersave, I have configured the general settings to "suspend to
RAM" when lid close button in button events.
1. This morning: I turned the laptop on an began to work. Then I had to go to
another desk, so I closed the lid (like I used to in Feisty)
Fixed in hal_0.5.10-5ubuntu3_i386. Since I lost my Ethernet and
everything, I had to download new packages in Windows and copy them to
Ubuntu.

Ok, so after I manually set up CMake text files and try to remove
everything related to "kde4_create_po_files" and "kde4_install_po_files"

I think I have a similar issue. I use manual configuration to connect to
my WLAN network. I write the correct ESSID, then I select "WPA
Personal" as my password type, and then I write my PASSPHRASE (not the
PSK key resulting from the passphrase). Of course, I set up correctly
all the IP parameters
The reason Xorg is showing high cpu usage is merely because firefox
appears to be stuck in a select loop calling an Xorg routine (probably
continually redrawing a blank screen), so this really isn't an Xorg bug.

I/O error on access to SMB shares of OS/2 Warp 4 host mounted

Same problem for me. I use Ubuntu Gutsy in a mixed environment (Windows
Server shares, linux samba shares). Gedit can't save modifications on an
existing file located on a remote cifs share. Eclipse can save but often
fires errors like "out of sync".

Ok, I have done some more analysis with tshark. When mpdscribble starts
it makes a DNS query for post.audioscrobbler.com and then seems to cache
that result for the rest of the time it runs. When mpdscribble is not
working, it doesn't even attempt to make a TCP/HTTP connection the
scrobble servers.
I can reproduce the issue using the mkfifo instructions, but only after
moving the tab to the leftmost position as per comment 6. This is on

OK. This is what I've tried:
$ sudo emacs -nw /etc/fuse.conf
and uncomment option "user_allow_other"
$ sudo emacs -nw /etc/fstab
and now the line for the NTFS partition is:
/dev/sda1 /windows ntfs
defaults,nls=utf8,umask=007,uid=0,gid=46,noauto,rw,allow_other 0 1
and finally:
sudo adduser f

I think this only happens on computers with the latest nVidia GPUs (Geforce 8
series). All the people which is reporting here the bug, has an nvidia Geforce
8.
Today, I popped in a LiveCD of Ubuntu 7.10 (64 bit) on a laptop with an ATI
Radeon HD 2600, and it starts flawlessly. No "nosplash" hack
Now, I'm using stardict-3.0.1 in Arch linux.
Problem solved.

I have found that I can connect to my office wireless WPA-PSK Access Point ONLY
