Yes I configured the CA cert through network manager, in the CA cert
file field. I probably should have added this earlier but to get the
configuration I had, I manually set the wireless security to 'WPA
Enterprise' before filling in the rest of my settings. I don't know if

Try this:
Just check that gdm.conf-custom is not empty, if it is just copy the
contents of gdm.conf to it and save it. It worked for me and those
errors disappear, looks like somehow gdmsetup truncates to zero the file
gdm.conf-custom and then fails to load it and does't save it correctly
again.
Is this the only file in /var/log/dist-upgrade? There are usually 2
others apt.log and term.log. If you have these could you please attach
them

I run Kubuntu hardy beta4 on a MacBookPro

I too have seen this bug. I recently upgraded (GUI) from gutsy to
hardy.
I thought that losing the modifier keys had something to do with vmware
but I might be wrong. It seems to trigger when I leave a VM and go back
into the host os. (but this might be random, as other commenters have
thought)
It did work on my other machine under gnome - but obviously another

Blacklisting will disable the loading of the modules you specify i.e. they will
not be loaded automagically and the dependent hardware will NOT work if there
aren't any replacement modules.
Of course this is not funny but it will help you to determine if the specified
module is the me

I just went through quite a few updates, and now bnep0 and pan0 are
showing up in network manager. Changing these from roaming mode to dhcp
appears to have fixed my problem, both for Firefox and Pidgin, and with
minimal configuration effort. When I w
preinst/postinst/prerm are autogenerated from debhelper, so they shouldn't be
in the debs.
I don't install what's the purpose of that (upstream installing the deb files
to make life easier, instead of leaving those tasks to the debian packaging).
