the workaround (rmmod ssb rmmod ndiswrapper modprobe ndiswrapper
modprobe ssb) does work for me, as mentioned in my previous commend.
So, that seems to indicate that it is, a the very least, a related

When I try to print a PDF bigger than 5 MB under *evince* I have to wait
a long time (up to 15 minutes) until the first page is printed. The CPUs
are working with 100% during this time. Then my printer prints the pages
with about 10sec long breaks
I ran into this today when going to youtube in Firefox on Kubuntu after
installing from the 20080417.1 daily build.

In fact this new version seems to cause severe regression in virt-manager:
with the pointer grabbed I now:
- often have a double cursor
- some keys seems not to get grabbed (such as tab and sometimes return) which
has caused me to shutdown vm I was working in while type in the terminal of
this
