Shortly after I discovered this bug, I found that I could work around it
by updating to the version of x11vnc in the backport repository.
Because this version of x11vnc is now in Hardy, I would assume that the
problem does not occur there. Sadly, I cannot test this, as my old
Linux PC broke down,
My workaround still applies to Hardy.

Unable to skip the current track on last.fm
I have an older NVIDIA card the GeForce4 MX 4000 and have exactly the same bug.
However, when I get the NVIDIA driver (NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-173.08-pkg2.run) it

I'm also experiencing this problem, however - I'm not recieving any
errors about gnome in dmesg - the only thing I see is a notification to
download updated firmware for my wireless card.

A64 8.04 hangs
Hello. I just wanted to chime in that I am experiencing the same bug. I
did not have this issue under Gutsy... only after I did the upgrade to
Hardy.
I can also confirm that no crash report appears to be created in
/var/crash. This bug is a real pain for me, so if I can be of help in

I have the same issue with thunderbird version 2.0.0.12 , attachment
icons don't appear in the compose window nor when displaying a received
message, I can see only file names.
I'm running the latest hardy 8.04 Ubuntu version with Gnome and no 3D
extension.
Any help would be appreciated.

Totally fatal system hang when using mencoder to record video from BT878 device
I have just done a clean install of Hardy and upgraded the firmware of
my card. Still no success (my other ubuntu desktop has no problems
with it) Is it still possible to use the orinoco drivers on Hardy? They
worked for me on Dapper Edgy.
