Playing with it some more, I'm able to reproduce the problem with the
totem application by itself, with a local mp3 file. It seems to hang
the rotated X server *some* of the time when visualization is turned on
and never when visualization is turned off.
Without rotation, it does not hang, but

The rollback that it did kept everything working, it now says I'm
running 8.04 and I see no bugs, though I don't know enough about the
inner workings of the OS to say whether or not versions are mismatched.

After some more experiment, i can confirm that the curious thing is that
X is involved. Using nv or nvidia driver does not matter (should i try

This very much looks like a bug in the Linux graphics driver.
I.e. using a newer Blender version from blender.org might not help, but it's
worth a try.

Got no further answers from REVU (it has been deleted actually). It
seems to be too difficult to create an Ubuntu package. However, I will

I have had the same problem for a while now.a local Linux Engineer
told me to set up SSH public /private keys. You will have to have the
login and password on the local and remote server the same. Set up the
keys as follows:

It is always a good idea to check if a file is there, if not create it and
