i can see that too in a personal .pdf i have, some greek letters desappear, or

Dual booting XP/Hardy (Kubuntu) on a dell laptop.
I just did the latest upgrade (kernel 2.6.24-19 and other packages) and
it messed up my menu.lst . (I selected to use the package originators
menu.lst instead of keeping my own) After the upgrade upon reboot I got
a grub error

Well, allmost ok, gdm was still in an ugly 1280x768 resolution that
stretches everithing verticaly.
I added this command at the end of /etc/gdm/Init/Default

I found out what causes it.
There is a problem with the gvfs and/or gvfs-backends package in hardy-
updates (0.2.4). Once these are upgraded, nautilus loses its knowledge
of anything other than file://

Ah I see what you are talking about now, the same icon that shows up
when using alt-tab in metacity. The icons inside OOo (and this one too)
are in a tarball under /usr/lib/openoffice/share/config/images_*.zip ,
they are not in the normal Gnome/KDE /usr/share/icons location. I am not
sure how OOo t
I tried to compile and use the original sources from
http://k3b.plainblack.com, and the problem persisted, so I eventually
noticed that the bug is not related to k3b, but to the package "dvd+rw-
tools". Just downgrading dvd+rw-tools to an older version (i.e. hardy's
7.0-9ubuntu1) resolved the probl

Might be related to the history view when shown in the sidebar.
When I open the sidebar on the left (set to view by date and site)
Firefox seems to crash. Stable-ish thus far with the history sidebar
closed.
