excessive CD notification in concurrent sessions
I can verify the crash/freeze when changing DVB channel after a short
period when pulse audio is used. Kaffeine does this only when changing a
channel and the DVB stream has been playing for a while. Changing
channel on the beginning of the DVB streaming it works fine. I have
pulse audio enabled

xserver-xorg-video-intel (2:2.3.2-2ubuntu2)
xserver-xorg-video-i810 (2:2.3.2-2ubuntu2)
which settled up pretty much everything but compiz :)
glxgears is happily back to 800s,
compiz is back to white screen.

According to some of the duplicates, this error appears with certain
uhci chipsets as well, however the error in those cases seems to be
error -110.
Also, I forgot to mention the workaround of disabling autosuspend. That
also seems to work for only a few people (haven't tried it myself).

I looked in System-Help and Support. I typed 'DVD' in the search
window. The first heading is Movies, DVD's and Videos. I selected this
one. (I tried the totem manual, but it was useless.) Under this heading,
I selected Playing DVD's. The second bit of advice they give helps you
enable the totem
After having 4 people look at the screenshots the only thing we noticed for
sure is that Kubuntu uses a different font than the xpdf and fedora screenshot

This beeping is not generated by ksnapshot nor KDE, but rather caused by
the kernel/pc speaker driver reacting to a special signal. Either try
turning it off in your PC's BIOS or blacklist the appropriate pc speaker

Hopefully this bug can be addressed soon. I have been confronted with this
several times in the past. Especially when in a group of people copying some
CDs to their hard disks, and the only one having problems is the guy (me) who
boasts about Linux :-(
This is the sort of problems that prevents

Hello Chris,
I've installed bootchart, and now the boot process takes normal time (about 1,5
minutes).
However, if I remove bootchart, booting process takes 8 minutes again.
So bootchart is not helpful to track the problem (but at least I got a
workaround).
