I confirm the bug. The bug is filed against the Ubuntu bash-completion
package, and a fix is not committed for that. So I set the status from
'Fix Committed' back to 'Confirmed'. I'm not sure whether the assignment
to Mika Fischer is valid, so leaving that as it is.

The Plasma new device notifier replacing the desktop icons in Kubuntu
8.10 (Intrepid) doesn't have this problem. It only shows "Safely
removed" when the device is mounted. Thank you for your bug report.

I can reproduce this bug with Adobe Flash 10.
The 3 patches mentioned in the upstream bugreport definitely fix the issue
(tested with patched xulrunner 1.9 and firefox 3.0):

I recently updated from Hardy to Intrepid on a testing box.
sshmenu and sshmenu-gnome stopped working after upgrade with the following
error:

1) Add some applets to your gnome panel. The system monitor applet, the
music applet and the tray icon applet are good choices to see this bug.
2) Enable compositing in Metacity (I think this bug appears with Compiz,

I've noticed that too quite a wile ago. Gnome terminal (and terminator)
don't handle properly composing Unicode characters.
The first character in the attached file "french ipa signs" is composed
