Mine is also Intrepid Alpha 3 and all updates in, but Adept crashes when
launched. I'm not sure if this is a related bug, but the system tray
plasmoid also fails to show any icons; it still resizes as icons seem to

Did you rebuild your proprietary driver when you upgraded the kernel?
Whenever you upgrade the kernel you have to rebuild those drivers. You
can use module-assistant for this. What version of the NVIDIA drivers
are you using? I thought the GeForce4 used nvidia-legacy-glx instead of
nvidia-glx.

The error produced by jockey-gtk seems to be the result of a failure to
update your apt database. The fact that it referenced an out-of-date
package implies that you did not run sudo apt-get update or update
through Synaptic prior to running jockey.

I don't believe the C2Q are supported by acpi-cpufreq yet. p4-clockmod
and speedstep-centrino are deprecated.
I have a MSI P43 Neo3, and you have to go into the bios and enable CPU
