Changing status to Confirmed since so many people are having it and I
can reproduce it across all sorts of different hardware with the same
system image. If not the same bug, a similar bug occurs with Compiz
turned off. Try creating a table in the middle of an email, moving the
cursor to the bottom of the email, then holding the up arrow key to
rapidly move the cursor through the table to the top of the email. It
will often leave a ghost cursor in the top cell of the table. And that's
with Metacity, not Compiz.
