Hello Ethan,
Thanks for submitting your problem. I believe this is a different issue than
the one reported for this bug. Your upgrade issue seem related to the loss of

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better.
I think the problem comes from the uninstall that left the system in an
unstable state, rather than the reinstall.
Can you try purging nagios2 completely (sudo apt-get purge nagios2-common
nagios2), then
I still get the (rather unhelpful) error:
mount error 38 = Function not implemented
I am not sure if the problem is with mount.cifs, or if it is something about
the way I am set up. If someone who report success with backported 3.2.0 could
try with the 3.0.28a package in Steve's PPA,
FYI: Most of the php PECL packages (including readline) have already
been added. The following packages do have separate bugs opened for
them but they have not yet been added/updated. These are the requests
that I found after an extensive search, some of them have been inactive
for a long time.
Thanks. As the original submitter, I'd say it's OK to close this. I
confirm that, on hardy, both readline and php-gmp are working, which
means that (at last), my Mandrake 9.2 box can be upgraded ;-)

You neglected to mention the version. I'm assuming it was 1.10.2,
because this is a known bug that's been fixed since version 1.11 (so,
Intrepid Ibex should be fine).

After finished updating and rebooting I restarted my virtual Intrepid

Hi akretschmer,
I'm not seeing the same thing here running a 2.6.24-19 kernel. I
glanced at the config files in the Hardy git tree and CONFIG_CPU_FREQ is
enabled and the /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq directory exists
here:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~/ubuntu-hardy/debian/config$ grep -rn
The problem was fixed a while ago on my end. I filed this report in beta
testing and I completely forgot about it due to inactivity and I used 7.10
because of a few other bugs that my family couldn't use 8.04 (sorry).
Now F-spot-import starts automatically as it did in prev release with gthumb.
thank you for your bug report, you can specify the port on the server
line, that's not a bug

Resume failure on ThinkPad
I suspect this could be related to bug #212660 ehci-hcd causes failed
suspends on kernel 2.6.24 for which a work-around is:
echo 'SUSPEND_MODULES=ehci-hcd' | sudo tee
/etc/pm/config.d/modules_unload
If possible please try this work-around and report progress to bug
#212660 if successful.

There is a known issue with uvcvideo that causes various suspend
failures. The solution is to cause the module to be unloaded when
suspending and reloaded on resume.
Please try this work-around. From a terminal:
echo 'SUSPEND_MODULES=uvcvideo' | sudo tee
/etc/pm/config.d/modules_unload
