Attached find a tagged AAC file. It's just twenty seconds of silence,
created with ecasound, encoded with ffmpeg, and tagged with easytag-aac.
The tags show up (but are not editable) in Rhythmbox, but are invisible
to mplayer.

above. The new driver worked OK however the new kernel kept freezing

The smooth images when zoom option is enabled by default. With this option

I tried to replicate this for posterity. The time I had seen this was on
a developers workstations after a dapper to edgy upgrade. I was not able
to replicate it with these steps. It's really a moot point though, as
edgy is no longer supported.
