I also confirm this in Intrepid Alpha 6 Live CD 32bit.
No software/configuration changes has been made exept the instalation of compiz
settings manager.
This system uses an ATI card.
The fix of unchecking Undirect Fullscreen Windows worked for me also.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. However, I am closing it because the bug has been fixed
in the latest development version of Ubuntu - the Intrepid Ibex.
The easy workaround is to fix the line to remove the extra spaces around
the = sign

I'm unable to install Intrepid on a notebook because the network card is
not recognized. The atl2 driver is either missing or doesn't work
correctly.
On the same notebook I've installed without problems gutsy, hardy and

A couple of comments:
1. Was the upstream tarball modified in line with README.Sources? I'm
just surprised that your tarball is 825025 bytes while upstream one is
753320 bytes; according to README.Sources the dfsg change was the
removal of a po file? Perhaps you have not used the -9 option while

understand it, sony-laptop generates ACPI events for the key-presses but
the script that it calls doesn't do anything to affect backlight

Came in to work this morning and updated my intrepid system, noticed a
new kernel and had to update. When the system came back up, eth0
disappeared. Now I have no network connection at all. :( Did an lspci,

I hit this same bug upgrading from Hardy to Intrepid Alpha 6.
This is a killer for linux newbies and really should be addressed before
Intrepid completes. I always use two root file systems so I can fall
back if an upgrade fails. Most people aren't that paranoid and hence
this bug will BRICK

I'm trying to package a software that needs libmozjs.
On Debian I get my package to build with
pkg-config [...] mozilla-js
But on Ubuntu the provided .pc file is different. Which renders the
build system incompatible.

You may find something leaps to the top of the list then goes back down.
