toshiba portege m200 isn't functioning. When modprobing ipw2200, dmesg
reports that the firmware is unavailable. I've confirmed that it is not

I can confirm this in Intrepid on both a T43p and a T41. Both worked in

I don't think this bug is reproducable on a new install.
I added KDE, then upgraded from 8.04 (Hardy) to 8.10 (Intrepid) Alpha 6 and
after one or two daily system upgrades the error occurred. I think it's a
settings problem.
The error occurs likewise in GNOME as in KDE session.

What the problem is, is my yahoo accounts are randomly disabled. In the

The blkid library keeps old entries in /etc/blkid.tab even if the
devices disappear, in the off-chance that it might be useful later. So
the entries in /dev/sdc[12] are no big deal. The big indicator is the
log from /proc/partitions; that indicates that /dev/sdb1 simply doesn't
exist at the time
