Hi, I don't know. I decided not to use Maple again. It exports 0 size .tex
files or shrinks the .tex output at 4k, 8k, 16k or 32k... Cannot be used in

After doing the last update on Kubuntu Intrepid I relized that the
backported cube effect in Kwin was missing, and not listed in
Kwineffects!

I can comfirm this bug. When I switched from Ubuntu to Xubuntu, hwtest-

I put the radeonhd video driver and voila ..it works.
But the problem is ..in the court of update-manager === Update Manager
must know to choose the right driver - Else, thousand of complains will put
the internet optical fiber on fire around the globe right in the
Saivann, I assume you meant hardy below? I reinstalled from launchpad
(but hardy instead of intrepid) and got the same error.

I noticed that someone mentioned the need for using 915resolution on Intel
GPUs. However, I managed to get the solution working without 915resolution,
using the Intel GMA965 GPU on a Lenovo Y410. What I did was this:
1. Install v86d
2. Add /etc/modprobe.d/uvesafb containing this line:

@ martin : I use Kubuntu Intrepid (KDE4) with knetworkmanager, fresh
install with Stephane's ppa driver, nothing more. My router is WPA-PSK
(AES I try to remember). I can't try WPA2 since
I am experiencing similar problem with arrow and navigation keys. Here

Have problem when using Fspot in slideshow format. In slideshow mode,
various disturbances affect the viewing of the photos and is very

omg this bug is driving me crazy, I get dropped connections/reconnects from an
access point 10 feet, also I have noticed I can connect to long distance open
wireless networks from the aircrack patched drivers, instructions are here:

I have a ASUS P5K motherboard with integrated wireless based on rtl8187.
In Hardy (haven't tried other Ubuntu versions) the connection often
suddenly fails, with the software not noticing anything.
Have you checked your /etc/fstab and compared to what exists under /dev ?
I remember I had the same problem while upgrading some time ago. The name
scheme for disk changed and I just had to update my /etc/fstab.
For your kernel problem, I have no clue :) Maybe more details would be useful.

Problem appeared after updating to 0.7.8. Also I noticed a general
choppyness after the update, even on scrolling and moving windows. It's
not nice.
