I used update-manager -d to upgrade from Hardy to Intrepid RC and it
was pretty smooth. Congrats!
The only minor gripe I had was that I had to install german language
support again, because that got partially uninstalled.
But it sure was the smoothest upgrade so far! Good

installed ( swiftfox, medibuntu stuff and getdeb debs).

The backports module also solved my problem.
Before, transferring large files over the local network would crash my system
within seconds. I have now been able to transfer several large files without
problems. I still see error messages in dmesg, but they don't seem to cause too
much trouble.
Happened to me after an update, some days ago. At home, it happened just
the same. Deleting the .kde directory in my home dir solved the problem.
I cannot do this at work because I have set up many options and I would
have to do it all over again...

I observe exactly the same problem on PowerEdge 2970 with a RAID5 array
of 6*750Gb.
I try to install Ubuntu Server 8.04.1 LTS, and it fails on grub-install,
can't read stage1.
When I fallback to LILO, install finishes correctly. But in this case, on my 6

default, i.e. nothing configured. Went on to configure my network with
kde networkmanager. I have a manually assigned static IP. It

2.6.24.21.23

After you get to the highscore, you can change your name. But when you
start a new game after that, and get to the highscore again, you can't
change the name anymore and it's set to the username by default. This

I have the same bug, so i changed the name on libgstlibvisual.so and
now everything its working again.
