I use Ubuntu 8.10 - the Intrepid Ibex - released in October 2008.
And indeed the launch in the terminal is kind to cheat, it first crashed from
the GUI and there I had no error output.
And actually I just tried it again in the GUI it first seam to work fine, but
when i removed all partitions
dunno, I switched to thunderbird because of this.

I have a DELL Vostro 1510, with an Intel 3945 Pro (Wifi) and a Realtek
RTL8111/8168B (Wired), I've tried to fix my wiredcard, but it doesn't
work under Hardy or Intrepid. When I read what Patrick posted about
Fedora 10, I was exited to try it, so I gave it a try. And my wiredcard
WORKS EXCELLENT
As for me I have it on all aps and effects, using Xubuntu. Also with
nvidia + twin-view. When it happens (regularly, every few days) I simply
don't have any window refreshing itself unless I move the window or
another window above it forcing a refresh. Even xmms stops updating

Crap. I got this thing to work and I don't know how (exactly).
I followed the thread and at the very bottom I found:
aptitude remove xorg-driver-fglrx fglrx-control
I did that, rebooted, and no luck. But, in the Xorg.0.log I noticed
i915.dri.so failed (no file?)

I have been able to reproduce this in 8.10
Killing rdpclip.exe and restartign it solves the problem.

Well... I guess it's a matter of perspective - I agree the eject button
does not differ device to device. It should be consistent when there is
something to be ejected. I guess I was trying to communicate to the
user that this is a unique situation... there isn't media or a device to

configuration given in bug 305971.
I will post a comment if I install Intrepid again, make updates and check if it
