If I run kontact, dbus-daemon uses over 2 GB of ram and 100% cpu after a
day. Running dbus-monitor shows a constant stream of activity from
akonadi. If I kill kontact and the various akonadi services, things go

I got it to boot a live usb with Jaunty on it, I hoped that with a newer

I had the same problems when installing Mysql-server-5.1 and had to
uncomment the line to skip-bdb.
Now to upgrade, I was getting the same errors as people in this thread.
The current problem was fixed for me doing the following:

gvfs does not report correct ownership
I have/had the same problem with my Lacie disk,
but I was able to manually mount the disk after the following steps:
# modprobe -r sbp2
# modprobe sbp2
# dmesg | tail -33

When Cancel is hit in the shutdown menu the screen does not return to full
brightness
I have been using Parcellite, which fixes this, so I haven't tried gnome
clipboard daemon, but if it's a simple as installing one of these
programs, shouldn't they be installed by default?
