You mean you can't reproduce it yourself? Besides, this bug is present
Hardy as well, and since that is an LTS release it should have long been
confirmed, even if it is fixed in 2.0.
Testing 2.0 would mean to try Jaunty, and I have no machines on Jaunty

Yes I am aware of vinagre as a vnc client in general. And that is
installed on my systems.
However if one wants to use tsclient to connect to vnc hosts, then
adding xtightvncviewer is required to get the vnc protocol not grayed
out.
I think it should appear as a suggested package for tsclient,

Unfortunately it's not working with NetworkManager in Jaunty.
There has been some improvement - inserting the USB dongle does trigger
the wizard to configure mobile broadband. I've tried all the O2
variants, though, and none work.

Why they dont just fix it?
Isn't this clear enough? They generate dozens, hundreds of minor updates, but
not the most intimidating ones.
We have so many daily updates, but this obvious fail is not recognized, nor
fixed automatically.
The same thing with network adapters with static
Still waiting for the fix on Hardy... Any news about that? Thanx...

This is actually a feature rather than a bug. When saving in Unicode, a
BOM (byte order mark) is added to the file. This is standard Unicode
procedure.
While in some UTFs the BOM is used to distinguish from little and big endian
machines, the BOM is used in UTF-8 as a

However, processing it in order to get sufficient information for the
developers failed (it does not generate an useful symbolic stack trace). This
might be caused by some outdated packages which were installed on your system
at the time of the report:
libc6: installed
Can you attach the output of
sudo lshw
and
dmesg
after an attempt at burning a disc.
That should give some more information about the exact type of drive and
what's going wrong.

I used to assgin super L button open home folder but it wont work in
ubuntu 8.10. im on 8.04.2 only for this bug or whatever it is. it works
on 8.04 so you know what to do.
