Personally, I don't think it is a good idea to explicitly update every

Last month I had a load average issue in a postfix mail server (only runs
postfix service). Suddenly, load average started to raise and qmgr process
appeared on top of top taking 20-30% of CPU.

Doesn't it need the handle at the moment because it would be impossible
to remove the applet without the handle? (Right clicking on the applet

Wow, the calibrate tool is a mess. No point in cleaning it up, though,
since evdev seems to be the future.
I've added a package to my PPA that will hopefully resolve the issue.

crypt target names when asking for a passphrase, latter name being
configurable by user. I can't think of a more descriptive solution,

You can stop pidgin from saving logs by going to Tools Preferences
Logging and unchecking the relevant boxes.
To delete existing logs, open your home folder, navigate to
.purple/logs/ (you may have to press Ctrl-H to show hidden folders in

I am trying to set display refresh rate to 75 or 76 Hz. Xrandr reports
the rate to be 76 Hz but the monitor reports the rate to be 60 Hz
anyway.
This is under Ubuntu Intrepid and 177, 180.11 and 180.29 Nvidia drivers.

though that's gnome-keyring and are you sure you use it and not ssh-add?
could you run env | grep -i ssh?

ssh keys only work if manually added with 'ssh-add' not if seahorse prompts for
them
