Another valuable thing I should mention is that this system has a
dmraid-based (i.e. software) RAID0 on two disks and it uses ext4 as
filesystem.
In fact, the corruption maybe due to something failing in these layers

Just installed Xubuntu Jaunty Alpha 6 on my Eee 901. From the first
bootup, the internal speakers just output loud static noise.
The lineout sliders have no effect, but the iSpeaker does kill all the
sound output when it's unchecked.

When the problem appeared we checked a lot of configuration issues.
The problem seems NOT to be user or client specific.
The users where the PANIC appeared:
- had a unix account
- a samba account with the same

network-related: my laptop at home fails to interact correctly with the
LinkedIn website, while when taken to another wifi hotspot it will work
perfectly. I suspect some MTU incompatibility in my home router... but

I can't be the only one this is happening to!
Also -- what seems to be a byproduct of not having a screensaver:
If I click on Guest Login I am sent to a new login, for user guest. However,
when guest exits (logs out) the session returns to my original session *without
requesting a password*!!
Previously with exiv2 0.17, users of exiv2 such as ufraw, would silently
write a significantly-reduced subset of EXIF tags to files they export,
at least on newer cameras such as the Nikon D90. I found exiv2 0.18
corrects this, transferring almost all EXIF tags. Let me know if you'd
like numbers,

unfortunately, i downgraded my ubuntu to 8.04 now..
i was trying alpha 5 of jaunty, and can't still suspend.. (i'm trying it
from liveCD).
what other files do i need to upload so devs can correct my problem?
(using jaunty liveCD)

I upgraded, and once i added a new one, it didnt detect my wired connection
(the only one I'm using right now).
I force to manually use wired and still it failed to measure traffic
$ /usr/lib/netspeed/netspeed_applet2

Hmm that's weird; could you check your .xsession-errors? Does this
happen in an empty session running just xterm?
How to you start your session? GDM?
