updates and rebooted. I can't tell if this is fixed or not because it
won't let me edit my wired connection's name. It's stuck to auto eth0

Easy reproduce.
Login and on start up open firefox, not maximised. Then open placeshome folder.
Folder opens under firefox and not on top every time for me.

Accent words are impossible to be reproduced in certains non-gnome apps. P.e.
Opera and Skype thus far. It does not happen with 8.04. It happened with
Intrepid and continues with Jaunty. The keyboard set up is ok. If copy and
pasted it shows up ok.

Yes, I can confirm that it is a duplicate of 327844, I talked with the
filer of the bug yesterday. Good to know that it's just an Xorg freeze
instead of a kernel one. I'm back in Intrepid now, so I can't
sure, but I don't have the synaptics problem on the other machines.
I think that one will sort out itself when standard bluetooth
probe/pair/connect works.
Then again, I don't know the difference between the internal logics of bluez vs
manually connecting with hidd.
