The same here, except it doesn't work from terminal as well. Can I help with

I can use gksu if i run some command with sudo from the terminal before. This

the thing is that if a network connection would have been possible the
system would automatically set the clock via ntp if an ntp server can be
reached during bringing up the interface. so due to the MAC address not
being set and in turn the interface not being able to be brought up the
fallback

When suspend and resume, the btusb module did nothing. It is just
removed when the hub is suspend, and came back when hub is resumed. I
have tried to remove the btusb modules and insmod back, nothing
different.
So, there are still two devices to trace. USB controller and USB hub.

I upgraded to Jaunty four days ago and I am now using kernel version
2.6.28-13-generic.

I have an Asus P5Q motherboard with an onboard firewire chip, and a fresh
installation of ubuntu 9.04, only installed some extra programs + multimedia
codecs.
lspci gives me this chip: FireWire (IEEE 1394): Agere Systems FW323 (rev 70)
Enabling the chip in the BIOS causes

All the files that I've added reflect on the situation where I do NOT
have the onboard firewire cip is enabled, since that makes my machine
very unstable. This is the situation with the add-on card.
