This bug is still in Hardy LTS. It's preventing Avahi from working on
my Dell Vostro 220s systems, which have this NIC onboard:

That'll be why there's no panel or desktop, because your config is
broken. Could you please post the output of "gconftool-2 -R
/desktop/gnome/session". Could you also try logging in with a fresh
user?

Seeing these errors when playing audio from Spotify running under Wine.
I don't see them except when using wine. winecfg is setup to play
through esd. Sound is fine except for this error and 100% cpu.

Okay, in that case, I'm marking 'fix released' in karmic, and 'won't
fix' in jaunty. Thanks for the report, but I don't think we're going to
be able to get an SRU through for something like this for jaunty.
