I was previously able to open files on remote sftp share with open
office. Open office now locks up, crashes, and apparently triggers a
lockup of nautilus sftp shares.

I downloaded Karmic this am. Installed it to dual boot with 8.04. It
was flaky and 8.04 not available. Did a clean, single os install and
received a "fsck" error message. Ran "fsck" manually from error
screen. All issues have cleared up, Karmic is running great.
