Its not the screensaver itself. The screensaver works like its supposed
to. Its the set the screen saver preferences getting tweaked by
selecting the cyclone option in combination. Cyclone works fine, but
when you go to select it initially it locks the screen forcing a reboot
on a fresh install.

The bug appears to have been resolved with the latest upgrades available
this morning. Music played at normal speed on rhythmbox in my
VirtualBox vm. I took it a step farther and installed pulseaudio again,
and everything was working as it should.

I tried running devkit-power-daemon from a console, producing the
attached log.

On my system the pagkage grub was missed, I installed grub and the problem has

@Klaus - Yes, afaik we have the same packages and I update daily and
read many of the change logs to see if any updates will help or give me
a clue as to where the problem may be.
I did have a thought. Afaik with Upstart a service can have
dependencies, so we start gdm, but gdm depends (for
I did a update-manager -d last night (Sept 22 CST) and it rendered the
system useless after the first reboot, I was stuck in this cycle. I
don't think Uwe is experiencing more complicated issue, I think a lot of

It appears that any 'dblclick X' event is actually set up as 'dblclick 0'.
This can be confirmed by running:
xsetwacom get stylus button3
A way around this is suggested in

xsetwacom set stylus button3 196609
This will set it to 'DBLCLICK

tomcat5.5 failed when started via daemon for a particular application, but work
when using catalina.sh
It looks like the rendering is being done in software rather than
hardware. Can you please attach the output of `glxinfo` and your
/var/log/X11/xorg.log please. Also, please run `glxgears in a terminal
