Justin,
Thanks for the work, but this patch isn't complete and can't be applied
to the ubuntu-docs branch. If you'd like to have a go at producing
another patch, feel free. The easiest way is to follow the instructions
in our playbook here:
Public bug reported:
Hello,
I have upgraded to Karmic (9.10). I am facing problem with wifi it not
working at all.
Details :
line from lspci
03:00.0 Network controller: Broadcom Corporation BCM4311 802.11b/g WLAN (rev 01)
Hardaware Drivers shows Broadcoms STA (status : Active but not in use)
I can confirm that the problem exists on latest beta I downloaded on Sat
Oct 3. My Acer Aspire 6930G can see both network card (wired and
wireless) fine on 9.04 but not on 9.10.
9.04 sees the cards as:
07:00.0 Network controller: Intel Corporation Wireless WiFi Link 5100
09:00.0 Ethernet
Hmm... perhaps I posted on the wrong bug. For me 9.10 does not see the
ethernet adapters while 9.04 does. It's my first Ubuntu installation for
desktop so I am not familiar with network managers and all. To me it
appears as if the driver has problems.
