Similar isue with both Jaunty and Karmic (same machine before and after
upgrade) with EXT4 main partition on an SSD drive (MackbookPro 5.5). I
added a noatime option but the problem as occurred again:

Same here: closed the laptop lid. Left it for at least 15 minutes.
Opened the lid. Pressed the power button. Power button goes green.
Nothing else happens. Had to turn off the laptop with a long power
button press.

I have the same problem, my nautilus and epiphany (without -p) are not
working after a poweroff while having much apps running. Deleting
epiphany-settings doesn't work, nautilus can't start even after the update
yesterday.

When I suspend my machine, and load it back up, it loads almost always
to a completely blank, unbacklit screen.
When I hibernate my machine, it loads to the boot loader, I see the
waking up dialog, then it shows the same behavior as suspend, an

Since I switched to Ubuntu 9.10 I have the Gnome Network Manager showing a
signal strength of 2/4, while it was 4/4 on Ubuntu 9.04. Also iwconfig says

I can confirm this. Imon VFD/IR receiver (ffdc) worked on jaunty just
fine. Now after upgrade to karmic it does not work with the same config

A workaround is to reorder the entries in resolv.conf so that the
vpnc generated nameserver is first. It is tedious to do this by hand every
time
one connects via VPN.
Why not just do this?

yeah same as the summary, i can connect but sometimes it shows
disconnected and hitting connect in nautilus does not connect.

Please dont comment on closed bugs, all it does is send me unneeded
emails. This is more of a profile bug or using upstream package. Please
rename your .mozilla-thunderbird profile and start on new profile. as
for using 3.0 it does not support lightning from our repos, I dont
recall if they fixed
I'm also experiencing this problem.
I'm running the Jaunty Jackalope on a Compaq Presario laptop.
I've installed the Broadcom STA driver.
Normal internet browsing from firefox seems to be Ok, but if I download a file
using save link as, or perform an update using the update manager my netgear
Sorry for that it seems that some covers are removed of the system.
