wonder how/what makes this setting to 'no' in the first place!
for the first 2months after a fresh installation of karmic along with a
combo of memcached, xcache, zendaccelator, i was frustrated with the

The iptables commands fail because domains are not being resolved to ip

Now I am not sure. Starting the firewall before the network is up might

Same thing happening with my T61+Karmic; whenever I suspended the computer with
power supply attached and waking it on battery it would go straight back to
suspend. This did not happen in Jaunty.
The procedure in #47 fixed the problem for me.

It seems the fix would still fail for locales which contain the
@modifier, eg. sr_rs.ut...@latin locale, if that was used. Though, since
Ubuntu only sets the locale to sr...@latin, it at least wouldn't crash
with this fix.

I've reconfigured the appropriate gnome packages to use gstreamer
instead of pulseaudio: https://launchpad.net/~dtl131/+archive/ppa/
OSS/4 users will want the libcanberra packages in that PPA as well (if
they want event sounds). ALSA users don't need to bother with the
libcanberra in that PPA.
Do you have any idea of were this problem comes from? Are you able to
reproduce it in Karmic? I'm not able to reproduce the problem here, so
I'd need somebody to answer these questions. In particular, whether this
also happens when changing password using 'passwd', rather than using
users-admin.

I have tried compiling maxima with dpkg-buildpackage and it failed.
Then I tried compiling maxima with:

All given solutions did not worked on touchsmart tx2.
The former config I used was to suspend on ac_power and battery.
I recognised that there is a difference when the laptop was suspended via
button and via closing the lid. Via button the resume went fine without any
following suspend action.
This is in someway near to mcz's solution. I wonder if you still get the
lid down event with your config?

Can confirm behavior on my Ubuntu is very alike to the description above.

Update. This problem is a result from updating Ubuntu. I have install
Ubuntu new, everything works fine. But after installing updates, Ubuntu
cant mount the encrypted devices.

I think it's an echo chamber in here -- doesn't seem like anyone from
ubuntu is listening. Anyone feel like setting up a PPA and patching,
building, and packaging a fixed version of X?
