qemu version 0.10.0-1ubuntu1 from testdrive attempts to boot the iso but
just sits at a black screen. I see no way to access a grub prompt or
give other kernel parameters. This will prevent some people from
testing the Lucid LTS ISOs.

It seems very weird to me that translate-toolkit would need a DivX
subtitle editor as a build dependency.
Indeed it seems that this mostly was a packaging glitch which got fixed
in Debian's 1.5.3-1 version. I synced that one, which makes the gaupol
MIR unnecessary.

I know what's causing the bug. It's when I'm downloading many video
files simultaneously into a subdirectory of my rhythmbox library

I expected kde to start after entering the password in kdm login screen.
After kde splash disappears on startup, the desktop is empty, no panel, no
widgets. Alt+F2 works and starts
