gnome-keybinding-properties: binding not working properly for XF86Sleep
If you've just recently upgraded, I'd assume your previous kernel (the
one that worked) is still on your computer. Can you boot the computer

With the fix I still have a: Error converting to loadable format in lyx for
pdf pictures.
despite I cannot see pdf pictures in lyx since Karmic, I never had problem to
export as pdf using pdflatex as the reporter of this bug has.
Maybe these two problems do not come from the same issue.

I can confirm this, I've got the same problem on Kubuntu 9.10 when running
tomboy.
Strange thing is, tomboy looks perfectly fine when run from the command line or
from Alt+F2 (KRunner) but looks ugly when started from kde menu.

I have similar behaviour of migrating applet in the notification area. As I
had also the menu not shown bug, I did wait for the 2.29.2-0ubuntu9 release
to see if the problem was just one. The menu of the applet is now back, but I

I have been comparing the output of dmesg of issue-free systems and
others with this issue and the one big difference is this line that
appears in systems with the problem: ehci_hcd: cache line size of 64

It seems the problem is when first configuring lirc. I hit ctrl+c to get
past the install. I got kernel track trace on log and thats why the lirc
modules were not loading.After reboot and loading lirc it worked quite

LyX simply cannot display PDF pages, but this is a different issue.
This bug can only be seen when previewing the generated PDF from within
LyX; exporting to LaTeX and then generating a PDF is not affected.

Don't be so quick to dismiss this as a problem with compiz. It's certainly not
the most efficient way to manage a desktop, but the code has come a long way
and isn't the resource hogging, bug-ridden monster it once may have been.
This but is probably related to
*clarification: gdm refers to the login and session manager, gnome
refers to the desktop environment.
It confounds me to no end trying to decide where one ends and the other
begins, if any such point exists...

Just to check --- is there a risk that the patch to rsyslog will in
effect disable kernel logging on any final lucid release, bearing in
mind that not all the kernels are in sync (particularly armel imx51)
That would surely be bad, but I've probably misunderstood here...

Installed 9.10 as command line system (alternate install).
usbmount gives the same error (cannnot execute /lib/udev/vol_id).
So would be nice if fixed.
