I think I know what's going on here: nm-applet tries to display a status
indication (Wired network connection 'Auto eth0' active), to the right
of the mouse pointer, but there is too little space to show it. If I
move the mouse away briefly and back again, the same status message is
displayed

If you change jetty-shared-webapps.xml to point to
/usr/share/java/webapps you will get nothing working. After diving into
Jetty's directory hierarchy, I could not find the config file that was
making Jetty look for webapps in /usr/share/java/webapps.
I could come up with 2 hacks to make it work

This doesn't appear to be a compiz problem, I'm getting the same
flickering when totem gets or loses window focus with and without compiz
running. I noticed that the flickering only occurs when the video area
of the totem window is selected.

I like gridx4 and x2.
If the App view has the horizontal space it should add extra screenshots
to the right of the text. If the pane starts to lose horizontal space
(the user resizes the window or expands the sidebar) it should start
losing the right most screenshots before the horizontal bar
It affects me too on a HP dm3-1080ef.

In Karmic, the dv-9000 resumes every time. Usually everything works,
even though once in a blue moon I have no networking (maybe once every
couple of weeks). A reboot fixes that. This goes for 2 out of 3 of our
computers with Nvidia chipset.

When booting the screen-content will suddenly disintegrate (on X

I had this last night as well, on an Arrandale-based system. Didn't know
there was a keystroke to get to the desktop, and it also explains why
startx failed with a message saying that X was already running.

Booting with the framebuffer renderer leaves the system at textual login:

Ok... I think it works now. I successfully burned that iso image using
-raw96r option. Now I want to fix this, so I will be able to burn from
Brasero or other software.

If you are affected by this issue, could you please check whether you
have at least one note that has the content missing (i.e. there is title
only, but no other content). In case you are able to find it and there
is a manageable amount of notes , could you please try to add some

During a boot today it decided that one of my disks needed a regular check -
that's OK;

2) Apport dialog titled Network Problem with the text, Cannot connect to

The program doesn't crash now completely, but there are still some problems.

Thanks for your report.
I can reproduce this error in Karmic but not lucid. However, I didn't found any
relevant change in the Changelog.
Is anyone still able to reproduce it with the latest development release
(lucid) ?
