This sounds like the issue I just encountered with Picard. In my case, I
selected two identified albums (same album, different release dates I
guess) and clicked 'cluster' shortly before the crash report appeared.
I'm using lucid, 64bit.

update started to install. I know there was a large number of updates,
so I thought it would be wise to close all applications while update

Lucid Beta 2 live cd works fine, but my installed version (which worked
fine a few weeks ago until I updated recently) gets to KDM and then just
stops. Mouse and Keyboard don't *seem* to respond, however A
same problem for me. (well, not really a problem, as it doesn't seem to
have any consequences on stability...) i also have an eee-1005ha. i
believe it happened only on my second reboot after updating the kernel
(which was just now). i'm not entirely sure, though.

Using drag and drop via amdcccle to reposition screen works. Operations
moving a gnome-terminal to all areas of both screens was great. Visual
Effects in Appearance Preferences is set to extra.
The blender 2.5 screen was randomly garbled until I disabled second
screen with amdcccle.
