It happens the same here, hp dv2500 Ubuntu 10.4 updated. Changed to
compiz for a while and when I went back to Metacity I simply can not
assign the super key to launch the main menu, Any ideas or
workarounds?

Same here. I can connect to an unsecured network, but not to wpa2
enabled network. I do manage to connect every now and then, but when it

First of all, my objective was to assign the super key to show the
main menu.
So, after reading the first post, I looked at the xev output for a
while:
KeyRelease event, serial 33, synthetic NO, window 0x381,
root 0x111, subw
With a slow dial up line live CD not possible.
Looks like I shall have to use root when I want a print from gedit.

Experienced the same on Ubuntu 10.04 having all sort of trouble with
gksu. Eventually I found mousetweaks using 100% CPU. Disabled some
accessibility mouse options I selected recently, and things seem to be
normal again. If not, I will completely remove mousetweaks off the
system.

Reading the manual of glibc (info libc) I see that it is
documented on Using the Library - Feature Test Macros .
I have to confess that connecting Feature Test Macros to
Enable GNU C extension functions is a big leap for me.
In my oppinion it should be

rm ~/.local/share/rhythmbox/rhythmdb.xml
then it rebuilds the database, and works fine.
